The carpets of Azilal are works of art in which every rural woman in the Azilal region tells a child story. The themes are all inspired by tribal strive such as birth, motherhood, marriage, beliefs, oral custom and even agriculture.
Azilal succeeds in bringing together the colours of the Boucherouite and the first shearing wool of the Beni Ouarain. The different weaving strategy used for the Beni Ouarain results in a shorter hair but promotes a soft and comfortable coat that welcomes lying down to read for hours and hours.
